After winning Bjørnafjorden municipality's recent competition, Os Turnforening is excited to introduce Os Sauna—a floating sauna located in Osøyro. This initiative is rooted in a vision to improve the well-being of the local community and wants to function as more than just a place of recreation; it is a resource for public health and an inclusive social meeting place.
We use dynamic pricing that takes into account both time and firewood consumption. In the morning, the sauna is likely to be cold, which means that you will spend both more time and more wood on heating. Therefore, the early hours are priced lower as a compensation for this extra effort. You can either bring your own firewood or buy from us. Over the course of the day, when the sauna has probably achieved a stable base heat, the price will be adjusted upwards, but you will use less time and wood in return.
Os Sauna welcomes you every day from 06:00 to 21:00, offering a fully self-service experience. Choose a time that harmonizes with your daily schedule; each sauna session lasts at least two hours. This time frame also includes the time required to heat up the sauna.

Os Sauna + Havnesjefen
Sauna + suppe og/eller varm sjokolade! Vi har inngått samarbeid med Havnesjefen som holder til midt på Osøyro. Alle som har billett til Os Sauna kan, på vei til eller fra sauna, få suppe eller varm drikke til sterkt reduserte priser.
Sauna-tilbud: Dagens suppe inkl mineralvann, kaffi eller te kr 200.
Heimelaga varm sjokolade med krem kr 40.
Havnesjefen sine åpningstider er:
Mandag til torsdag 11 til 22
Fredag 11- 00
Lørdag 12 - 00
Søndag 13 - 21
Dersom du er del av en gruppe (minst 5 personer) som skal i sauna fra 19 til 21, og vil ha en rask suppe på vei heim, så kan Havnesjefen holde åpent til kl 22 (mandag til torsdag) og kl. 21 (søndag). I så fall må dette avtales på forhånd på telefon 980 54 210 (Frank).

Os Sauna is a social and health-promoting sauna located at Steinneset. Our aim is to create a break from everyday life - a place where you can relax, find peace, and enjoy a sense of community with others.
The sauna is run entirely by volunteers from Os Turnforening and is built on one simple but important goal: to make it easier for everyone - regardless of age, fitness level or background – to take care of both body and mind.
The sauna is open to everyone, with easy online booking, affordable prices, and an atmosphere built on safety, tranquillity and belonging.
Please note: Os Sauna is a self-heated sauna, so it may be cold when you arrive.
If you can see that no one has booked the sauna before your session, you are welcome to contact us via the chat to request earlier access so you can light the fire before your booked time. Please note that this does not apply to the earliest bookings of the day.
You must either purchase firewood from us or bring your own firewood.
You can buy firewood under the "WOOD" tab in the menu above. The firewood is stored in the box inside the changing room.
